For the first time, pub landlords will be able to offer customers exclusive in-venue incentives delivered directly to their TV screens completely free of charge, thanks to cloud-based marketing and communications platform Screach and its big-game advertising partner, Betway.
Through an exclusive deal announced in July, BT Sport Total customers are able to sign up to the Screach Lite service free of charge, on which Betway is a strategic advertising partner.
To mark the arrival of UFEA Champions League and the Rugby World Cup, Betway will be using the technology developed by Screach to offer customers of pubs signed up to its BT Sport Screach Lite package exclusive offers.
These offers start today (16 September 2015) with a free £10 bet which can redeemed on Betway’s website.
A second special offer will then mark the start of the Rugby World Cup as England take on Fiji on Friday (18 September 2015). Coinciding with the first match of the tournament, further offers will continue throughout the Rugby World Cup.
Robert Rawlinson, CEO of Screach, said: “This new initiative means that pubs and licensed venues are now able to reward their customers with exclusive offers courtesy of our strategic partners such as Betway. Our objective is to continue to provide our pub customers and with exclusive offers that help drive footfall and repeat visitors as well as value to our advertising partners.
“Following its launch this summer, we have seen unprecedented demand for the Screach Lite package with over 1,900 UK pubs having signed up so far. Screach not only delivers venues an effective sales and marketing platform but provides advertisers access to 62 million annual pub visitors which I expect to top 100 million over the coming months.”
Anthony Werkman, Marketing and Operations Director at Betway, added: “The Screach platform allows us to deliver targeted direct response marketing campaigns that have high relevance to the venue audience. We believe strongly that the Screach technology will prove to deliver highly effective campaigns with increasing reach and effectiveness.”
By installing a Screach box into the venue, BT Sport Total customers have access to an hour long channel of regularly updated content that includes BT Sport highlights and all other main televised sporting events whether free to air or pay TV. Up to 24 bespoke venue adverts and promotions, national and local community adverts along with news headlines and weather information.
The Screach Lite service is available free to all BT Sport Total customers and is designed to help licensees drive footfall and sales through their existing TV screens. Through its partnership with Betway, Screach is offering the first 2,000 BT Sport Total customers that sign up, equipment and installation usually worth £299 completely free of charge delivering a combined saving of £755 in the first year.
The Screach service is simple to setup and use - a Screach smart box is installed in the venue and connected to existing broadband, TVs and AV network, similar to the installation of a BT Sport or Sky box. It works the same as normal TV, showing entertaining and engaging content on screens to draw customers’ attention where landlords then display their own adverts and promotions helping drive footfall and sales.
