What equipment has been installed in my venue?
To get Screach to work on your TVs, we have installed two pieces of equipment in your venue;
- Screach box
- HDMI Switch.
What is my Screach box and what does it do?
Your Screach box is what we use to get information onto your TV screens. Once it has been installed there should be no need for you to do anything with it, unless you experience a problem with your TV screens - even then it might just be a case of checking no cables are loose or resetting it.
How do I know if my Screach box is switched on?
A blue light will appear on the top of your Screach box when it’s turned on.
How do I turn my Screach box on?
Your Screach box should always be turned on. But if it goes off, just press the button on top of it. When it is turned on a blue light will be appear. We advise that you keep it turned on all the time so you will get the latest sports and news information on your TV screens.
Should I turn my Screach box off each night?
No, we advise that you keep it turned on all the time so you will get the latest sports and news information on your TV screens. It runs on very little power, so it won’t impact on your electricity costs.
Does my new Screach equipment use a lot of power?
No, Screach equipment are low energy consuming devices - they run on the same amount of power as a mobile phone.
What do I do if my Screach TV box won't turn on?
Firstly, check the power supply cable has not been unplugged and the socket is switched on. If they are ok, try unplugging the power cable, plug it back in and and press the power button on the top of the box. If the blue light does not come please contact our customer service team.
How do I restart my Screach box?
To restart your Screach box, just press the button on top of it. When it is turned on a blue light will be appear.
What is a HDMI Switch and what does it do?
Think of your HDMI Switch like a remote control. Your Screach channel has been programmed to channel 1 and, if you have BT Sports or Sky that is programmed to channel 2. If you want to change between channels just select:
- Screach
- for BT Sport / Sky.
How do I turn my HDMI Switch?
There is no ‘on / off’ button - you just need to make sure the power cable is plugged in and the wall socket switch is turned on. When it’s on there will be at least one green light on the front of the HDMI Switch.
How do I restart my HDMI Switch?
To restart it, just unplug the power cable and plug it back in. When it’s on there will be at least one green light on the front of the HDMI Switch.
What do I do if my HDMI Switch doesn’t turn on?
Firstly, check the power supply cable has not been unplugged and the socket is switched on. If they are ok and no lights appear on the front of the HDMI Switch, please contact our customer support team.
How do I change from my Screach channel to Sky or BT?
To change channels you can either change the ‘input’ using your HDMI Switch remote control or just press 2 on your HDMI Switch.
What do I do when I see these symbols displayed on my TV screen?
If you see a cable with a cross appearing in the top right hand corner of your screen, first check your Ethernet cable is plugged at both ends. If this is fine, then restart your broadband router and your Screach box - the symbol should disappear. If, after these steps, it is still appearing please contact our customer support team.
If you see a white triangle with an exclamation in the right top hand corner of your screen:
- First check your Ethernet cable is plugged at both ends. If this is fine, then restart both your broadband router and your Screach box.
- Take a look at your broadband router and make sure there’s no warning lights - if so, contact your broadband provider.
If you an arrow with a % sign, it is informing you that new information is being downloaded onto your Screach channel.
If you see this message on your screens saying ‘Screach has stopped working - do you wish to wait or close’:
- Remove and re-insert the power cable
- Press the power button on the top of your Screach box.
What do I do if nothing appears on my TV screens?
- Make sure all cables with the blue Screach ‘Do not unplug’ tags are plugged in.
- Check your screen is turned on and the correct ‘input’ is selected. You can use your tv remote control or the buttons on your TV change the input.
- If your TV screens are connected over aerial, please make sure that the correct TV channel is selected.
- Check the right input is selected on HDMI Switch - change the ‘input’ using your HDMI Switch remote control or just press 2 on your HDMI Switch.

What do I do when my TV screen is fuzzy?
This is usually due to an issue with your audio visual equipment - contact your AV installation company for further help.
What do I do if my Screach channel has frozen?
Restart your Screach box by pressing the power button on top of it - when it’s turned on there will be a blue light. If not, check all the cables are plugged in and the wall sockets are turned on. If this has not helped, please contact us.
My Screach channel doesn’t fill the whole screen - how do I fix this?
Change the zoom level on your TV with your TV remote control. If this doesn’t work, get in touch with our customer support team.
Why do my TV screens change to Screach without me doing anything?
Your Screach box is programmed to display Screach every morning. If you want to watch another channel, just press 2 on your HDMI Switch, or change the input using your remote control.
Why does Screach appear on my TV screens when my BT Sport or Sky box is turned off?
Your Screach box has been programmed to do this, so you always have something on your TV screens. If you want to turn on your BT Sport or Sky box on just press 2 on your HDMI Switch, or change the ‘input’ using your remote control.
What do I do if the information on my Screach channel hasn’t changed?
Your own adverts, that you create and publish on my.screach.com will appear within 15 minutes. The other information shown on your channel will be updated on a weekly basis, as long as the Screach box is connected to the Internet. If this is not happening, check if any error symbols are being displayed on your screens and follow the instructions here.
Can I watch normal TV on Screach channel?
No, the box only plays content from Screach.
I am upgrading my TV screens to HD, do I need new Screach equipment?
No, you don’t need any new equipment but the setup will need changed. Give our customer support team a call who will be able to help.
