Customers signing up to BT Sport get exclusive free service from Screach designed to help pub owners drive footfall and sales through their existing TV screens.
BT Sport has announced today (9 June) it is partnering with a new dynamic entertainment and communication platform called Screach as an added value service to its pub customers.
From 1 July, customers signing up to BT Sport will get the Screach Lite service free of charge (saving £456). Nationally available to all pubs, Screach uses existing TV screens and customers’ mobile phones to become valuable sales and marketing tools, helping drive footfall and sales, and maximise pubs’ investment in live sports.
By installing a Screach box in to the venue the BT Sport customer has access to an hour long channel of regularly updated content that includes, BT Sports highlights, BT Sport and Sky sports upcoming live events, up to 24 bespoke venue adverts and promotions, national and local community adverts along with news headlines and weather information.
As a launch offer, the first 1,000 BT Sport customers signing up to the package will also receive free equipment and installation worth £299, delivering a combined saving to pubs of £755 in the first year.*
Robert Rawlinson, CEO of Screach, says: “We are delighted to partner with BT Sport to roll out the Screach technology to help UK pub landlords and operators engage with their customers to generate more sales.
“Screach is a multi-faceted sales and marketing tool available that encompasses TVs, mobile phones and music seamlessly with existing TV and AV systems and subscription sport services. This exclusive package for BT Sport customers allows pub owners to make the most of their investment in their TVs, with no restrictions on working with existing digital or other advertising solutions.
“The pub trade in the UK is a tough market to generate good revenues and Screach technology is designed with this in mind to help venues increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability.”
BT Sport director of commercial customers, Bruce Cuthbert, said: “We wanted to reward our customers by providing additional value to their BT Sport package. We selected Screach as a partner because of its’ high degree of functionality which we think our customers will find invaluable in helping drive further revenue streams, whatever they may be, from live sporting events to food offers to quiz nights, and are delighted to offer it to our customers free of charge."
