CREATING ENGAGING CONTENT & DRIVING REVENUE THROUGH ONLINE PROMOTIONS FOR CITY CENTRE SPORT PUB.
The Strawberry, one of the oldest pubs in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and synonymous for showing live sports, approached Screach to look at ways of making the most of its seven TV screens. It's entertainment policy involved running subscription music channels between televised sporting events, resulting in 90% of the time the screens were essentially becoming background noise and not providing any tangible benefits.
To address this, The Strawberry’s landlord, Michael Hill introduced Screach. The simple to use cloud based platform, which works in tandem with his current AV setup, has allowed him to promote key events, offers and daily food specials, enabling Michael to drive additional revenue through on screen promotions.
The system has pre-prepared advertising for all upcoming major sporting and social events which can be automatically removed at the end of the event. Due to Screach’s easy to use system, Michael simply emails the Screach team with his own media files, or files sent from a supplier, and the team uploads on his behalf and to his specification.
As an added benefit Michael has also seen increased customer dwell times by displaying engaging video, news and social content in between promotions helping to increase profitability of the venue.
“Screach has been incredibly easy to use from the offset, installation just took a couple of minutes. It’s a fantastic system and incredibly easy to use - all I do is send my files and images through to Screach and they’re live on the screens in a matter of hours. Using Screach makes sense, everybody looks at TV screens! We’ve tried posters and POS advertising over the years but our customers look straight through them, but they do all look at TV screens. And, when we have so many, it makes sense.” Michael Hill, Landlord of The Strawberry.
